CM Hands-Over Houses to Poor Families at Nikol - Kathwada

<p> Gujarat Information Bureau, Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar April 30, 2017</p><p>PRESS RELEASE CM hands-over houses to poor families at Nikol - Kathwada ***** Gandhinagar, Sunday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani has handed-over houses to poor families at Nikol – Kathwada and said that today 2900 families have been handed over houses. Till now we have handed-over totally 5 lakh houses such as 3 lakh in urban and 2 lakh in rural areas of the state. As a result sun of happiness has risen in the lives of poor families, he added.</p><p>Each person has a dream to build his/her own home and for this purpose they have to use their whole capital of lives, while state government is committed to provide houses to poor, distressed and exploited families. It is our priority to look after each poor person of the state either for their home or for their job, he added.</p><p>Briefing about to provide employment to youth, Mr. Rupani said that state government has given priority to provide employment to the youth for their all-round development. Recently we have given appointment of employment to 1.09 lakh youth in private sector by organizing mega job fair within eight days. We gave government jobs to 67000 youth within April 2017 as well. State government is also performing active role to provide jobs to 10 lakh youth in private sector, he added.</p><p>Along with child health-care, this government is also concerning about education of the children from poor families. Recently state government has taken a historic decision regarding fee control for the children of poor families not to be devoid of education. Many families will be benefitted. Like that we also initiated generic medicine centers across the state with a view to provide cheap and qualitative medicines to poor people. Till now 125 centers have been initiated and 500 more will be begun within June 2017 and the number will reach at 1000 within nearer future, he added.</p><p>After dedicating housing to people at Kathwada, Mr. Rupani handed-over symbolic keys to the beneficiaries. Gor along with government officials, office-bearers and people in huge number were remained present. -x-x-x- Gujarat Information Bureau, Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar April 30, 2017</p><p>PRESS RELEASE State Government decides to encourage water sports Government of Gujarat to begin Water Sports Academy at neighbourhood of Riverfront - Vijaybhai Rupani ***** Gandhinagar, Sunday: On the eve of Gujarat Formation Day, a boat competition was organized at riverfront in presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani and he greeted people of Ahmedabad to celebrate Gujarat Gaurav Divas and announced to establish Water Sports Academy in nearer future with a view to encourage water sports and to develop riverfront as the most attractive water sports across the nation. State government has established Sports University in year 2010 and today 70 students from that university have participated in this boat competition. He also congratulated the students for their performances.</p><p>The competition was jointly organized by Sports, Youth and Cultural Activities Department of State Government and the Corporation. Competitions and demonstration of rescue operations such as Kayaks, Kino, Dragon boat, water skiing and wind surfing were presented during the competition.</p><p>Various teams from state and across the nation were arrived and demonstrated in the boat competition which was organized in riverfront situated nearby NID of Paldi. Normally very few awareness about boat competition is there in India. Students from IKCA institute of Bhopal, teams of Dr. Anand Vaidya from Surat and Mr. Alpesh Bangadiwala had participated in the demonstration and competition as well.</p><p>On the occasion, State Cabinet Ministers Mr. Pradipsinh Jadeja, Mr. Vallabhbhai Kakadiya, Mrs. Nirmalaben Vadhwani, Ahmedabad Mayor Mr. Gautam Shah, Dy. Mayor Mrs. Pramodaben, MP Dr. Kiritbhai Solanki and MLAs, corporators, District Collector, Municipal Commissioner and people in huge number were remained present. -x-x-x-</p>
