<p>Arts Development Panel Successful Applications – February Round 2012</p><p>Category Total(s)</p><p>Music</p><p>3 / 7 applications were supported to a total of $37,072 (total request = $106,748).</p><p>Dana Rae Ogle: $14,119 Professional development with master drummer Tony Allen, and with percussionist Orlando Poleo in Paris, France, October - December 2012. </p><p>Katherine Corecig: $7,553 Develop a high quality portfolio of recordings of compositions and perform a showcase for key arts figures in Western Australia. </p><p>University of Western Australia, School of Music: $15,400 'Nine German Arias', a baroque work by Handel, to be presented in historically informed style with period instruments. </p><p>Dance</p><p>5 / 9 applications were supported to a total of $160,804 (total request = $281,196).</p><p>Rachel Arianne Ogle: $20,545 Creative development of a new solo work with choreography by Cuban choreographer, Judith Sanchez Ruiz, in Berlin, Germany, 2012. </p><p>Ludwig: $18,846 Final stage development of the full length dance duet 'Fleck&Flecker' in residency at the Subiaco Arts Centre, culminating in public performances. </p><p>Marrugeku Inc.: $27,953 Final development and premiere of 'Gudirr Gudirr' - a new solo work by Dalisa Pigram. </p><p>PVI Collective Ltd: $39,258 Present 'Personal Political Physical Challenge' at the Malthouse Theatre, Melbourne, as part of the Helium program for independent performance companies (auspiced grant for Hydra Poesis). </p><p>Performing Lines Limited (WA): $54,202 Present the premiere of 'REFLECT' at the State Theatre Centre of WA (auspiced grant for Sue Peacock). </p><p>Writing</p><p>4 / 14 applications supported to a total of $73,400 (total request = $247,264). Amanda Curtin: $21,600 Development of writing (to first draft stage) of one of two novellas, which together, will form a novel length publication. </p><p>Christopher Kenworthy: $14,800 Development and writing of a third novel titled 'The Glitter Jar'. </p><p>Simone Lazaroo: $25,000 Research and development of new short stories to draft stage, for publication, provisionally titled 'The Meaning Of It All'. </p><p>Australian Book Review: $12,000 Funding to pay Western Australian writers to contribute to the Australian Book Review. </p><p>Visual Arts and Crafts</p><p>8 / 38 applications were supported to a total of $144,388 (total request = $581,889).</p><p>Australian Centre for Concrete Art Inc.: $17,364 An exhibition of painted wall works at Febrik Culture in Hegenheim, France, 2012. </p><p>Susanna Castleden: $16,800 Research, development and realisation of an idea that seeks to uncover new understanding of global mobility and perceptions of place. </p><p>Nigel Helyer: $25,000 An Art+Science collaboration to explore the sculptural/architectural potential of social insects (bees). </p><p>Thea Costantino: $8,741 Presentation of a new body of work in a solo exhibition at Galerie Dusseldorf, August-September 2012. </p><p>Pilar Mata Dupont: $19,287 Creation of a triptych of short art videos as part of a residency with the Helsinki International Artist Programme, Finland, 2012. </p><p>Guy Ben-Ary: $19,500 Present the project 'PDH007' at the Soft Control exhibition in Slovenia, in 2012 and at the John Curtin Gallery, Perth, in 2013. </p><p>Andrew Best: $9,696 Present a body of work as part of 'Yonder', at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts. </p><p>Andrew Nicholls: $28,000 Development of new mixed-media visual artworks by six Western Australian artists, drawing inspiration from the work of Sigmund Freud. Theatre</p><p>4 / 13 applications were supported to a total of $131,092 (total request = $371,953).</p><p>Duck House Inc.: $44,600 Presentation of a new contemporary performance work called 'ECHO' at PICA, November 2012. </p><p>Eleanor Davies: $19,522 Creative development of the new outdoor work entitled 'Bowser' for future rehearsal and presentation. </p><p>Performing Arts Centre Society Inc. T/A The Blue Room Theatre: $47,479 Undertake the final development of 'The Castle of Good Will' (auspiced grant for Side Pony Productions). </p><p>Western Edge Theatre Projects Inc.: $19,491 Undertake an intensive writing and development workshop on the original play, 'Boomtown', written by Bill McCluskey. </p><p>Multi-Arts</p><p>1 / 6 applications was supported to a total of $23,600 (total request = $105,893).</p><p>SymbioticA: $23,600 Semipermeable to bring together artists from different art disciplines to work in a collaborative mode. </p>
