<p>Dear Family and Friends,</p><p>The music department at my high school, Kettle Run HS, has begun our biggest fundraising project of the year: “Tag Day”. Last year, Tag Day raised over $15,000. This money goes toward new instruments/equipment, music, repairs, computer programs, uniforms, and everything else it takes to run our EIGHT TIME “SUPERIOR RATED” band programs.</p><p>On Tag Day, all of our band and color guard students spend several hours going door to door, paired with classmates, asking for donations to our program. If a person is not home, we leave a “Tag” (a letter similar to this) letting them know of our fundraising efforts and how to donate. An exciting new addition to Tag Day is on- line donations from people we know outside of our school district.</p><p>This year, our goal is to raise $20,000! That’s a big jump. Contacting you, our family and friends, will help attain this goal. An added bonus is that by ME contacting YOU personally, my own efforts will directly be reflected in my student account. </p><p>During Spring Break 2018, our band has been invited to showcase our talents marching at Walt Disney World. The trip is costly.
