<p> ICAO Endorsed Government Aviation Safety Inspector, Operations – Approved Training Organization Certification Organization Certification</p><p>Course 18718</p><p>Description</p><p>This 10-day course provides in-depth knowledge and skill in the duties involved in certificating an Approved Training Organization (ATO) from the perspective of an Operations Inspector. The course follows a “mock” ATO, seeking certification throughout the five-phase certification process. The certification process is based on International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Model Aviation Laws, Regulations, and technical guidance. This course is designed for inspectors who are responsible for the issuance of ATO certification and related activities. The course modules include: the phases involved in the certification of an approved training organization; the evaluation of an ATO Quality System Manual; the evaluation of an ATO Training Curriculum; and the issuance of an ATO Certificate. The roles and responsibilities of government personnel involved in the certification process are also addressed. This is a performance-based course presented in traditional lectures in addition to student activities and mastery tests.</p><p>Objectives</p><p>At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to: </p><p> Evaluate the prospective Applicant’s Pre-Assessment Statement Form that occurs in the Pre-Application Phase for the Approved Training Organization (ATO).  Plan and organize a meeting with a prospective Approved Training Organization’s Applicant that occurs during the Pre-Application Phase.  Provide a cursory review of the Application Package and Question to Applicants during a Formal Application Meeting that occurs in the Formal Application Phase.  Conduct an in-depth review of an Approved Training Organizations’ Procedures Manual that occurs in the Document Evaluation Phase.  Provide the skills necessary to inspect a prospective organization’s facilities to comply with the Demonstration and Inspection Phase.  Evaluate a Training Organization Quality Manual and other documents  Evaluate a Training Organization’s proposed curriculum for training for Flight Crew Licences.  Issue the certification certificate based on the final approval of the Approved Training Organization Certificate and Training Issuance Phase process. </p><p>Who Should Attend</p><p>Government Safety Inspectors who are responsible for certifying Approved Training Organizations and approving training curricula for Flight Crew Licences. </p><p>Prerequisites: Completion of ICAO Endorsed Government Aviation Safety Inspector – Personnel Licensing.
