<p> THE FALL OF MAN AND THE HOPE OF GOD</p><p>Genesis 3:1-24 Key Verse: 3:15b "He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." </p><p>1. Desite God’s abundant love, the 1st man and woman lost theparadise. How did this tragedy happen? Describe the conversation between the serpent and the woman (1-5). How did the serpent lie and deceive the woman? (4) When the woman did not take God’s warning seriously, how was she drawn into believing the lie? (6) Who was personified in the serpent? (John8:44) How can we discern and defeat the temptation of Satan? (Mt4:4)</p><p>2. What was the 1st result of their disobedience? (7) How did they cover up their shame and guilt? Why did they hide from the loving God? (10) How did Adam blame God and the woman he used to love? (12) Do you expereince the same consequence when you do wrong?</p><p>3. God punished them justly according to their sins. How did God punish the serpent? (14- 15) By whom would the serpent be crushed and how he would be the hope of all mankind? (Heb2:14,15; Isaiah53:5) How was the woman punished for his sins? (16)</p><p>4. What did God say of Adam’s sin? (17) How did God punish Adam’s sin? How must he struggle to survive? In the end what is his final destiny? (19) Do you think we all share the painful footsteps of Adam and Eve? </p><p>5. How did Adam express his hope of life? (20) How did God still show his love for Adam and Eve? (21) Why did God banish them from the garden of Eden and guard the tree of life? (23,24) How would God open the way to the tree of life? (15b, John14:6) Think about God’s unconditional love for the sinners expressed in this chapter (9,15b,21,24)</p>
