<p> Second Grade News! Room 21 October 16, 2009 Mrs. Dunton</p><p>Star of the Week The Star of the Week for the weeks of October 13-October 23 will be Brooke. Brooke can bring in pictures, a short book to read, and something to share and display for the rest of the week on Tuesday, October 13. Olivia C. will be the Star of the Week for the week of October 26.</p><p>Field Trip We will go on a field trip on Monday, October 19 to the Wildlands Conservancy. We will leave Shoemaker at 9:00 AM. We will be back around 2:00. The children will need to bring a lunch in a disposable bag. We will spend the entire day outside. With that in mind, please send your child to school wearing sneakers. We have also found it to be helpful to dress in layers. We are looking forward to a great day!</p><p>Tissues and Hand Sanitizer With all the colds, and our attempt to prevent colds, we have run out of tissues and hand sanitizer. If you are willing to donate either to our classroom, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!</p><p>Study Guide On Monday the study guide for lesson six will be sent home. With so many upcoming activities in our room we will not have our spelling and weekly test on Friday. The spelling test for lesson six will be on Tuesday, October 27. The robust vocabulary words will be tested on Thursday, October 29. Applesauce To celebrate autumn we are going to make applesauce together in class. It would be great if you could send one Red Delicious apple to school with your child on Tuesday, October 20. </p><p>Pajama Day The children have filled our “Good Behavior” jar. As a reward, they voted to have pajama day. The children can wear pajamas to school next Friday, October 23. Great job Room 21!</p>
