<p> Siege of Bastogne – Total War</p><p>Prepared Positions</p><p>Across the Volga</p><p>Preliminary Bombardment</p><p>Intense Battle</p><p>Fortifications </p><p>Circle Made by 8” within inside table edge to be Bastogne.</p><p>4’ by 6’ tables</p><p>Attacker- 5th Panzer Army ( 2 Panzer Companies and 2 Infantry Companies from 5th Panzer Army)</p><p>Defenders- 1 US Airborne Company (82 or 101 airborne), 110th US Inf, 705th Tank Destroyer Company (Task Force A from TT), 10th Armoured Company (Medium Tank Co from TT)</p><p>Total of 8 Players.</p><p>Preparing for Battle:</p><p>1. Defenders set up entire force within 16” of any inside table edge in prepared positions.</p><p>2. Defenders set up fortifications.</p><p>3. Attackers deploy entire force anywhere within 8” of outside table edge in prepared positions.</p><p>4. Both players place Independent teams starting with the defender.</p><p>Beginning the Battle:</p><p>1. Both sides begin the game in prepared positions.</p><p>2. Attacking player conducts a preliminary bombardment on defending forces.</p><p>3. Attacking player makes recce moves. (Defender does not get recce moves)</p><p>4. Attacking player has first turn. Ending the Battle:</p><p>1. Attacker holds 3 out of 4 objectives at end of any turn.</p><p>2. End of turn 8</p><p>Deciding who won:</p><p>1. The defender wins by holding 2 objectives at the end of turn 8. (Siege lasted 8 days, each turn represents one day)</p><p>2. The attacker wins by holding 3 objectives at the end of any turn.</p><p>Restrictions:</p><p>1. The skies over Bastogne did not clear until Dec 21, thus no air power on first turn.</p><p>2. US infantry had access to 155m artillery, thus 110th US Inf can bring 4x155mm without having to bring 4x105mm artillery.</p><p>3. Only the main road through Bastogne was usable. The other 6 roads require skill test to everything except infantry teams.</p><p>4. No air power for Axis.</p><p>5. Allies have Blood/Guts Special Rule.</p><p>6. Axis have Kampfgrupper Special Rule.</p><p>7. Allied only get one section of Priority Air at no cost controlled by allied general.</p><p>Special Moves. 1. Redeployment- Both sides may at the start of any turn remove any number of platoons from table and redeploy then anywhere, in any of their sides deployment zones at the start of the turn after the next turn. (IF removed on turn 3, redeploy on turn 5). You do not have to declare where you will deploy them until the actual deployment.</p><p>Order Number: 000-39315-38163-20120221</p>
