<p> 2017-2018 CGMSDT Performance Team Selection </p><p>• Explanation of Audition Packet • Each candidate must complete a Waiver, Application, Code of Conduct, Financial Obligation Consent, Photo & Website release. If your child lives in two households, BOTH parents must sign each form. • Please read the application carefully as you are committing to the following: • Full Season Participation • Fall Performance Team: End of July-October • Winter Performance Team: October-December • Competition Team: September-March • A minimum of 4 after-school and/or weekend performances if auditioning for Performance Team • A minimum of 5 weekend competitions plus Regionals, Semi State & State if auditioning for Competition Team • Notify your studio you are auditioning and what your commitment is to CGMSDT • All paperwork must be turned in at the Team Selection Clinic </p><p>• Team Selection Clinic will be June 13th from 9:00-11am, at CGMS NORTH in the Auxiliary Gym (Day 1 of Junior Dance Camp) • Review required skills • Splits (right and left), Chaines across the floor, Pirouettes in Passe, Battements (right and left), Leaps (right and left), forward roll and Toe Touch • Learn “Hey Baby” dance for Auditions • Learn Pom/Hip Hop combination for Auditions </p><p>• It is highly recommended that dancers auditioning for the Performance/Competition Team participate in all 3 days of the Junior Dance Camp (June 13th-15th, 9:00am- 11:00am at CGMS NORTH) • $50 fee- includes all 3 days of camp and a dance camp t-shirt • In addition to the scheduled camp activities, dancers will work on perfecting technique on required skills and will review “Hey Baby” and the Pom/Hip Hop combination for Auditions </p><p>• Team Selection will be June 16th, 5:00pm-7:30pm, at CGMS NORTH • 5:00pm-6:00pm: Uniform Fitting in the Cafeteria • Full payment due • 6:00pm-7:30pm: Auditions • Closed to spectators • All dancers will be released to parents at 7:30pm </p><p>• Apparel for Auditions • Tight fitted clothing (preferably black) • Leotard or Cami • Leggings, shorts, or capris • Tennis shoes or hip hop shoes for hip hop and pom combinations • Jazz shoes for required skills • Hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun </p><p>• Team Selection Results • All dancers will receive an email on Saturday, June 17th with personal results • The first name/last initial of those making the Dance Team will be posted on the website by Wednesday, June 28th</p>
