Announcement 2Nd FG Smartcable Meeting (Boulder, USA, 20-21 Sep 2012)

<p> Meeting Announcement – FG SmartCable/WG1 virtual meeting 17 May 2013, 14h00 – 16h00 (Geneva Time)</p><p>1. A virtual meeting of FG SmartCable/WG1 experts will take place using remote participation facilities, on 17 May 2013 at 1400 – 1600 (Geneva time). 2. At the 4th FG SmartCable meeting, 22-23 April 2013, Cambridge (UK) it was decided to organize a virtual meeting to finalize the Output documents assigned to Working Group 1 “Smart Cable Television requirements and use cases” (Coordinator: Satoshi Miyaji). Please find below the agreed follow up actions which are related to the virtual meeting: a) WG1 deliverable “High level service requirements related to Smart Cable TV” currently posted as I-079. Pradipta Biswas (Cambridge University) will provide additional requirements related to Adaptive User Interface for elder users. Pradipta has already provided a input document to be discussed at the CC, to be found as I-081 “list of user requirements”. b) WG1 deliverable “Collection of use cases of services provided under the context of Smart Cable TV” currently posted as I-064r1. Hou Andy (Oriental Cable Networks) will provide a input document to harmonize the Use Case of Section 6.4 in I-064r1 with the use case provided in OCN input document I-068. 3. The contributions of the previous (fourth) FG SmartCable meeting, Cambridge (UK) can be accessed at http://ifa.itu.int/t/fg/smartcable/docs/201304/in/ , while the draft agenda for the virtual meeting as well as all contributions will be available at: http://ifa.itu.int/t/fg/smartcable/docs/201305-virtual/ 4. Please note, for accessing the documents it is necessary to hold a TIES or a GUEST account, see http://www.itu.int/en/ITU-T/focusgroups/smartcable/Pages/subscribe.aspx. 5. The access details to remotely connect and participate to the virtual meeting will be circulated in the FG SmartCable email reflector. Participants shall submit input documents in electronic format to the FG SmartCable Secretariat via email attachment at [email protected]. A document template is made available from the FG SmartCable webpage. With a view to settling any questions that might arise concerning contributions, please indicate the source of the input documents as well as the name, telephone number and e-mail address of the contact person. 7. The discussions will be held in English only. 8. According to the Recommendation ITU-T A7, the FG SmartCable is open to any individual from a country which is a member of ITU who is willing to contribute to the work. This includes individuals who are also members of international, regional and national organizations and the list of participants is to be maintained for reference purposes. Please note that there is not fee to register and participate in the FG SmartCable meetings. 9. FG SmartCable was established by SG 9 “Television and sound transmission and integrated broadband cable networks” on 4 May 2012. 10.
