<p>Maxwell Dean’s Office Memorandum</p><p>To: Maxwell Faculty From: Appleby-Mosher Committee Date: October 9, 2017 Re: Appleby-Mosher Fund</p><p>The Appleby-Mosher Fund Committee announces a deadline of November 17, 2017 for application from Maxwell tenure-track or tenured faculty members for research funds to be used by June 30, 2019. </p><p>Support is available for project initiation, particularly for acquisition of materials, such as data sets, field research, and other research-related travel. Funds are not available to pay faculty summer stipends, but funds can be used to hire research assistants, if the assistant is paid through SU payroll. </p><p>Proposals should clearly describe the research in two to three pages and should have a specific budget. Awards will be made up to $1,200. The total amount available for distribution is $30,000. </p><p>All tenured and tenure-track faculty are encouraged to apply. If requests exceed the funds available, funding preference will be given to tenure-track faculty (assistant professors). </p><p>Please submit two paper copies of your proposal and budget to the Maxwell Dean’s Office, 200 Eggers, by November 17, 2017.
