<p> Aquatic Practices 2014 Study plan requirements — October 2014</p><p>A study plan is the school’s plan of how the course of study will be delivered and assessed based on the relevant Subject Area Syllabus (SAS) syllabus. Study plans allow for the special characteristics of the school, its resources and its students to be considered when implementing the course of study. Study plans provide an outline of the student learning and the assessment plan. Study plan requirements are outlined below.</p><p> a. Components of the study plan</p><p>Course organisation This should provide information about the structure of the school’s proposed course and the way in which it is organised and sequenced, as outlined in Section 3.2 of the syllabus. It should include: an overview of the four-semester course showing sequences of core and elective study proposed time allocation for each unit, ensuring the minimum number of hours of timetabled school time for the four-semester course of study (220 hours) units of work across the four-semester course of study that meet syllabus requirements. (Section 3.2 of the syllabus) Assessment program The assessment plan provides an indication of the range and balance of assessment instruments and procedures used to gather information about student achievement for the four-semester course of study. The assessment plan must indicate: the assessment instruments to be implemented (as outlined in Section 4.4 of the syllabus) the assessment techniques that meet syllabus requirements (Section 4.4 of the syllabus) the conditions of implementation of assessment (e.g. time allowed, length required, supervised/unsupervised, seen/unseen, using sources and/or notes, open book) (Section 4.4 of the syllabus) the dimensions being assessed in each instrument exit folio requirements are met, as outlined in Section 4.5 of the syllabus: a minimum of four and a maximum of six assessment instruments evidence of student work from Semesters 3 and 4 only evidence of all dimensions being assessed at least twice at least one instrument that assesses all three dimensions no more than two instruments from any one technique a student profile that corresponds to the assessment plan.</p>
