East Bernstadt Presents: A Walk Through History

<p> East Bernstadt Presents: A Walk Through History!</p><p>East Bernstadt School will be having a History Fair on March 22nd which will be entitled: AWalk Through History. The fair will be for all students in the 4th and 5th grades and each student is asked to create an exhibit to showcase an event from history. Students are to pick a historical figure, event, or idea and create a three dimensional display with evidence of research. This needs to be organized and visually impact the viewer. Displays may include things such as pictures, documents, words, etc…. All projects must pose a question from history and use evidence to answer the question in which they are exhibiting. 4 th grade students will be exhibiting projects surrounding Kentucky History. 5 th grade students will be exhibiting projects surrounding American History. </p><p>Topics to choose from (but not limited too):</p><p>Native Americans and their Land: Migration Routes and Cultural Regions European Exploration to the New World Early English Settlements: The Lost Colony of Roanoke, Jamestown, Plymouth 13 Original Colonies Slavery: West Africa-North America The Middle Passage Events Leading up to the American Revolution: The French and Indian War, The Proclamation of 1763, The Quartering Act, The Stamp Act, The Boston Massacre, The Tea Act, The Boston Tea Party, The Intolerable Acts, The Sugar Act, etc…. To Declare Independence or Not? Loyalists vs. Patriots The Declaration of Independence The Revolutionary War Strategies by the Continental Army that lead to the defeat of the British Army in the Revolutionary War George Washington The Constitution The Three Branches of Government The Bill of Rights Women’s Suffrage Women’s Rights Manifest Destiny Louisiana Purchase Texas Annexation Florida Acquisition Mexican Cession Oregon Country Early Pioneers The Oregon Trail Causes of the Civil War The Civil War The Missouri Compromise The Underground Railroad Abraham Lincoln Molly Pitcher Life of a Civil War Soldier Civil War Soldier’s Life: Union/Confederacy Civil War Battles Conditions during the Civil War: Combat, Medical, Food, Home front Gettysburg Address Industrial Revolution Information Age World War I World War II Great Depression Civil Rights Movement 9/11 All of the wars that the United States has been involved in and why?????? All projects will need to be brought in and set up in the Gymnasium on the morning of March22. The Fair will begin at 9:00 am and will end at 12:00 pm. Projects will have to be transported home on the same day. Arrange for transportation please.</p><p>Thanks for your help!!
