Other professional activity Self-employed professional translator since the late 1980s, specialising in medical and related subjects, from German, French, Spanish and Italian. My work in this field has been very varied, encompassing patient’s medical records, pharmaceutical literature, technical and clinical information on products used in orthopaedic and other branches of surgery, translation of clinical research articles in areas as diverse as cardiology and neurosurgery, infectious diseases and dentistry. I have also translated a lot of literature on the subject of herbal medicines, including technical data on their manufacture.
