LEE COUNTY SCHOOLS CHILD NUTRITION SERVICES

Student Meal Payment Information for 2016-17

Lee County Schools Child Nutrition Services operates under the Federal Guidelines of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. Child Nutrition Services is responsible for ensuring that nutritious meals are available to all students at a minimum cost.

We encourage parents to pay for student meals in advance to prevent forgotten or lost money. Pre- payment can be made in advance to student meal accounts or students may pay as they go through the serving lines. It is a parent’s responsibility to pay for their child’s meals. Any charges accumulated for student meals should be paid as soon as possible by the parents. Pre-payments for meals may be made by the week, month or the year. Each student has their own meal account and transactions to these accounts are recorded daily.

If a parent/guardian does not want their child to purchase extra items from the pre-paid money on their meal account, they MUST send a note or make a phone call to the cafeteria manager informing them to add a message to their child's account that they are not allowed to purchase extra items. If a note or a phone call has not been received, student accounts for extra purchases cannot be monitored. A student will not be allowed purchase extra items if they have a charge on their account.
