It gives me great pleasure to serve as your newly appointed principal of “THE Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy,” and I invite you to embrace our slogan…Soaring to Greatness! There are quite a few new additions to our staff this year, which includes innovative and motivated teachers Kindergarten through 5th grade, interrelated teachers, gifted teacher, Latin teacher, math and reading specialists, behavior specialist, Aerospace and Engineering Lab teacher, media specialist, Social Studies instructional coach, family engagement specialist, and an additional assistant principal. Our mission is to establish a fun-filled challenging academic arena that is driven by positive relationships, literacy, numeracy, and has the unique qualities of a STEAM focused curriculum.</p><p>I encourage all family members to support your child by committing to spending “quality” time every day in helping with homework, building self-esteem and self-respect, instilling HOPE, enhancing their social and emotional awareness, and serving as their #1 motivator. </p><p>Key Dates to Remember:  August 1, 2016 from 11:00 to 1:00: Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy Open House You will receive your schedule, meet your teachers, bus routes, and receive updates about T.A.G. Academy  August 1, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00: Community Cookout (fun, food, vendors, and games)  August 3, 2016: First Day of School. Class begins at 8:00 am. Please arrive no later than 7:50 am. </p><p>Please remember that we expect all students to wear uniforms this year. All students will wear beige khaki pants, shorts, skorts, or skirts with their personal choice of shoe wear.
