<p> 4-H Youth Development 1581 Route 88N Newark, NY 14513 p. 315.331.8415 f. 315.331.8411 www.ccewayne.org</p><p>Cornell Cooperative Extension Wayne County</p><p>Position Title: 4-H Summer Program Assistant Classification: Program Assistant Location: Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wayne County Supervisor: Beth Claypoole, Executive Director</p><p>General Description: The 4-H Program Assistant supports the 4-H club program and youth development for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wayne County. S/he is part of 4-H Team in Wayne County and works in cooperation with the all team members, including temporary 4-H Issue Leader, the 4-H Program Educator, and the Administrative Assistant. The 4-H Program Assistant will provide 4-H programming to summer recreation programming, lead community 4-H clubs, and assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of 4-H educational programs for the summer, including county fair. </p><p>Duties: Program Development 20%  Identify curricula that meets needs of summer recreation programs, with support of Program Leader and partnering Summer Recreation Program staff members  Select hand-on 4-H programming activities to implement at Summer Recreation Programs  Develop educational activities for Children’s Center at County Fair Program Implementation 60%  Provide 4-H programming for youth at summer recreation sites  Oversee implementation of Children’s Center activities by Teen Leaders  Train, supervise, and support Teen Leaders at the Wayne County Fair  Work with the 4-H Team in the coordination of youth development activities and events  Attend 4-H staff meetings at the county and regional levels Program Evaluation 10%  Work with Program Leader to evaluate programs  Administer pre and post tests at summer recreation programs  Make recommendations for strengthening and improving program General CCE- Wayne County 5%  Participate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wayne County. These activities include attendance at staff meetings, timely reporting of expenses, and general marketing of CCE Wayne County.  Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.</p><p>Building Strong and Vibrant New York Communities</p><p>Cornell Cooperative Extension in Monroe and Wayne Counties provides equal program and employment opportunities. 4-H Youth Development 1581 Route 88N Newark, NY 14513 p. 315.331.8415 f. 315.331.8411 www.ccewayne.org</p><p>Key Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:  Ability to work with individuals of various ages, incomes, ethnic backgrounds, and educational levels to reach program goals.  Ability to communicate effectively  Ability to gain knowledge of subject matter as it relates to program delivery.  Ability to be flexible with working hours, including weeknights, weekends, and some overnights.  Ability to motivate and supervise volunteers.  Ability to participate in a team environment.  Ability to use a computer and familiar with Microsoft Office and email systems.</p><p>Requirements:  High School Diploma and 2 years of related volunteer or work experience.  Valid Driver’s License.</p><p>Minimum Education Required: High School</p><p>Special Requirements: Must have access to transportation to use it for work related travel.
