She was born on the 7th of April, 1982 in Dąbrowa Tarnowska, she died on the 4th of June, 2008 in Wrocław. She was a polish volleyball player. She represented Poland. She got gold medals in the European Cup in women volleyball in 2003 and 2005.</p><p>Agata Mróz came from a family whose members were keen on sport. Her parents practiced sport in youth. Her siblings practice sport currenty. Her sister, Katarzyna is a volleyball player. Her brother, Paweł is a professional basketball player.</p><p>She was born in Dąbrowa Tarnowska but she spent childhood and youth in Tarnów where she started adventure with volleyball. People noticed her talent quickly. She went to high school- “ Szkoła Mistrzostwa Sportowego Polskiego Związku Piłki Siatkowej”. In third class in high school Agata had Her first big success. Her team of cadets won and Agata was its capitain then. Soon after this success, she stopped practicing because she felt bad. She graduated from high school and then she came back to Tarnów. After a long break, she returned and she started practicing sport again in team B from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. Then, she got an offer to play in senior team in spite of the fact that she wasn’t famous at that time. After some time, she become popular and many polish and foreign clubs were interested in her. Agata joined BKS Stal Bielsko-Biała and they were the Champions of Poland in 3003 and 2004. They even got Cup in 2004 and 2006 in Poland. She represented Poland in many volleyball matches. In 2005 she received a gold medal during the European Championships. In 2006 she joined a team Gruppo Murcia 2002 and she won Champion and Cup of Spain.</p><p>Agata Mróz took part in photo session for magazine CKM. In 2007 she decided to stop her career because of bad health condition. She got married on June 2007 with Jacek Olszewski. On January 2008 she announced that she was pregnant. In April 2008 she gave birth to her daughter Lilianna. Agata went through a procedure of transplanting of bone marrow in Clinic in Wrocław. She died fourteen days after the transplantation. </p><p>Honour</p><p>For Her sport achievements, on the 22nd of November 2005 president Aleksander Kwaśniewski awarded Her a golden Cross of Merit.</p><p>President Lech Kaczyński, after her death, awarded her a Croos- Krzyż Kawalerski Orderu Odrodzenia Polski. This award was for her strength in fight with the illness. Her husband refused to take this award.</p><p>In 2008 she was honoured a prize,, Siatkarski plus” in category “ personality of the year 2007” She got this prize thanks to her fans</p><p>A new sport hall in Koło was given a name after Agata Mróz- Olszewska. It is the first place to commemorate a polish volleyball player. </p>
