<p> “ Blue Jay Bucks” Rewards and Consequences Blue Jay Bucks:  Each day your child will start each day with 10 “Blue Jay Bucks.”  If they break a school or classroom rule a certain number of “bucks” will be taken away from the original 10 blue jay bucks. If they lose 2 bucks, they will change their “10” ticket to an “8” ticket. THIS IS CONSIDERED A NUMBER CHANGE!  In the chart below, you will find how many Blue Jay Bucks they will lose. Lose 0 Bucks: Lose 3 Bucks: You had a wonderful day!  Did not complete homework You were respectful, responsible and  Forgot homework at home ready to learn!  Forgot library books at home  Off task or arguing in centers Lose 1 Buck: Lose 4 Bucks:  First & Last name not on paper  Broke a rule in math class  Did not make lunch choice on time  Broke a rule in specials  Did not start morning work  Broke a rule in the cafeteria  Talking during music in AM & PM  Off task during teaching  Talking in the hallways  Off task during work time  Did not listen to the teacher’s instructions Lose 2 Bucks: Lose 5 Bucks:  Forgot agenda or folder at home  Used bad language  Behavior reflection not signed  Was rude or mean to a classmate  Missing homework coupon not signed  Talked back to Mrs. Maroudi  Called out or did not raise hand  This chart will be in attached in your child’s agenda for you to view.  Every Friday, students can choose to cash in their blue jay bucks or save them for a larger prize.  Each day, in the agenda, your child will record the number of bucks they earned. Behavior Consequences: First # change of the day = 5 minutes of NO recess Second # change of the day = reflection home + 10 minutes of NO recess Third # change of the day = reflection home + 15 minutes of NO recess + call home Fourth # change of the day = reflection home + 20 minutes of NO recess + Refocus Referral to Ms. Laury (guidance counselor) + call home Fifth # change of the day = No recess + Call home + referral to Mr. Barnes and (possible) ISR (in school suspension room) *Please note, every day your child will start fresh with 10 Blue Jay Bucks*</p>
