Welcome to IPC Printed Electronics Standards 2:00PM EST</p><p>Standard Group Leadership Josh Goldberg Taiyo America Inc., Group Chair Dan Gamota Jabil, Group Vice-Chair Marc Carter Director, Technology Transfer and Standards, IPC</p><p>II. Introductions </p><p>III. Meeting Outline</p><p>Purpose: Prepare for the D63 Face-to-Face Meeting to be held during the Fall IPC Standards Development Sessions in Fort Worth, Texas on Tuesday October 15, 2013.</p><p>Goal: Continue review of the published standard - Requirements for Printed Electronics Functional Materials (IPC-4591) and identify new topics that will be included in its Revision A.</p><p>IV. General Discussion for IPC-4591 Revision A </p><p>In preparation for the Face-to-Face Meeting in Fort Worth, participants were encouraged to review IPC-4591. </p><p>Below are the topics that were discussed during the meeting:</p><p> Expand Scope beyond conductive materials to include additional classes: o Semiconductor . Organic . Inorganic . Organic/Inorganic blends o Dielectric . Organic . Inorganic . Organic/Inorganic blends o Resistive . Organic . Inorganic . Organic/Inorganic blends  Introduce and define additional classes of materials: o Semiconductor o Dielectric o Resistive  Review published textbooks to include terminology for intrinsic electronic properties of materials: o Recommended textbook to review: Materials Science and Engineering: An Introduction, 8th Ed. William Callister (ISBN : 978-0-470-41997-7)  Generate a figure to be included in Revision A that quantitatively defines the intrinsic electronic properties of materials  Generate a figure to be included in Revision A that shows the different potential applications  Engage additional subject matter experts to assist in the preparation of Revision A: o Semiconductor . Materials Suppliers (examples follow)  3M  Polyera  Merck . Apple</p><p>Subcommittee Leadership encouraged D63 Members to submit topics for Revision A directly to KAVI as comments or via e-mail. The preferred submission procedure is to use the IPC Comment Form in KAVI.</p><p>V. Next Steps and Timeline for IPC-4591 Revision A</p><p> Meet during Fall IPC Standards Development Meetings in Fort Worth, Texas  Circulate Revision A in January 2014 to request comments/edits for IPC-4591 Revision A prior to the Face-to-Face Meeting to be held during APEX 2014.
