<p> Named AMERICA’S BEST COMMUNITY COLLEGE by Washington Monthly Office of HUMAN RESOURCES 1560 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia 30310 404/225-4670 POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION: Financial Aid Specialist Job Duties: Provide counseling services to students and potential students seeking financial aid funding at Atlanta Technical College; Review, evaluate and perform verification of student records to determine eligibility for federal student aid; Electronically correct student applications via FAA Access; Check Satisfactory Academic Progress; Assist with workshops and seminars on and off campus as required; Provide customer service to students and other constituents; Assists students in understanding and completing the financial aid application process; data entry; Remain abreast of federal and state rules and regulations governing Title IV and State Financial Aid Programs; Assist with VA Processing as required; Other duties that may be assigned. MINIMUM An Associate’s Degree and 3 years of related work experience. Experience QUALIFICATIONS: may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis. Exceptional customer service skills. PREFERRED Preference will also be given to applicants with Banner Financial Aid QUALIFICATIONS: experience, SURFER and/or NSLDS experience. Excellent oral and written communications skills. WORK SCHEDULE: Must be able to work, Monday thru Thursday SALARY: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
