Prior to joining the fire service as a paid professional, she spent more than 6 years as the Emergency Preparedness Technology Program coordinator at Wayne Community College, which gave her a taste of the Emergency Management Higher Education Conference.

Attending the Higher Education Conference has allowed Ms. Russo to continue to grow professionally in the field, and it has provided some invaluable networking opportunities.
