The selected candidate will be based in Juba </p><p>Position: Procurement /Logistic Consultant Type of Contract: Consultancy Contract Starting date: As soon as possible Duration of Contract: March–May 2015 Location: Juba , South Sudan Date of issue: 25th February 2015 Closing Date: 16th March 2015 , 5.00pm </p><p>Duties and Responsibilities Under the guidance and direction of the Country Representative in Juba, The procurement /Logistic Consultant will substantially contributes to the effective reorganization of LWF Logistic department and ensures that procurement policies and operating procedures are followed in a professional way in purchasing of quality assured commodities, within acceptable timescales at a competitive prices. Specific task: Role & Responsibilities </p><p>To provide a professional procurement guidance to the LWF/DWS project; ensuring that procurement policies and operating procedures are followed in the purchasing of quality assured commodities to target timescales at a competitive price. </p><p>Specific Responsibilities </p><p>The main tasks for the consultancy are is 1. Assess, evaluate and reorganize the task allocation within the Procurement /Logistic department, 2. Introduce solid reporting and tracking systems in the Procurement/logistics department, reorganize stores/inventory management, fleet management and general procurement contracting. 3. Complete the supplier prequalification process and explore the options for procurement from the regional markets. 4. Support the preparation of the 2015 procurement plans, 5. Train procurement /logistics staff (both in juba and the field) and recommend the ideal structure in the department. 6. Provide professional advice and recommendation on how to maintain a logistics and reporting system that stands the test of the major funding agencies such as ECHO , USAID, UNHCR, DANIDA, German Government, and LWF’s related agencies.</p><p>Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. • Professional procurement certification desired. • Fluency in English required. • Legal ability to work in South Sudan is required.
