<p> Executive Board (ALL MEMBERS) -Attends at all bi-weekly Officer Meetings (will be during 2nd half of lunch, or 9th periods) -Is responsible for putting the entire group first during all social activities -Is always available to assist any executive board member in carrying out a task - Is willing to help ANY officer who needs help completing a task - Always maintains a positive attitude about choir both during rehearsals and outside the class</p><p>Manager - Leader of Executive Council - Makes bi-weekly agenda for exec board meeting - Oversees the entire choir on a daily basis - Directly Oversees ALL non-executive board positions - Ensures that students arrive on time to class (daily greeter) - Ensures that both Executive and Choral Council promptly attend meetings and holds all chosen students accountable - Makes verbal announcements to the choir, including pep talks when needed - Gives Public Relations Officer information to promote - Keeps the choir on task during daily rehearsals - Assists the Public Relations Officer as figure-head for the choir - Assists the choral council in carrying out their responsibilities - Maintains a positive rapport between the choir and its director - Assists in maintaining choir morale - Solves any problems that arise inside the classroom for the first 2 minutes of class - Plans all social events- Costume Contest, Pizza for rehearsals etc.</p><p>Associate Manager -Member of Executive and Choir Council -Attends bi-weekly meetings -Assists the Manager as necessary and serves as Manager in his/her absence -Ensures that students arrive on time to class (daily greeter) - Solves any problems that arise inside the classroom for the first 2 minutes of class - Responsible for all over-seeing and assisting all fund- raising in partnership with “Public Relations Officer” - Gives Public Relations Officer information to promote about events - Assists in maintaining choir morale</p><p>Public Relations -Member of Executive and Choir Council -Attends bi-weekly meetings -Takes photographs at all choir events. - Writes get-well cards or any thoughtful notes that are given to members within the choir (illness, birthday, student teacher, etc.) - Makes & Posts flyers for all choir recruitment and concerts (2 weeks in advance- must submit to Mrs. Gundling) - Makes & Posts flyers for all choir activities and fundraisers (2 weeks in advance- must submit to Mrs. Gundling) - Plans and coordinates all social activities involving the choir -Handles and promotes fund-raisers within school and community (non-money aspects) - Serves as Liaison to the School Board, PTA, MAPOB, and Administration with any information - Handles all correspondences related to choir including smaller group appearances as well - Announces all birthdays in class </p><p>Secretary -Member of Executive and Choir Council -Attends bi-weekly meetings -Writes and submits daily announcements for morning announcements with the Main Office- Hold’s daily announcement sheets - Keeps records of everything of importance - Takes, attends, types up, and emails minutes to exec board - In meetings, verbalizes and dictates all individual responsibilities regarding group tasks - Oversees the librarian and distribution and collection of all materials - Writes all announcements on the board including: evening rehearsals, make-ups, money due, etc. permission slips due - Collects all permission slips and notes from section leaders - Keeps records of all fund-raisers as it pertains to the minutes of the meetings - Takes attendance at all Executive and Choral Council Meetings - Makes sure all monetary transactions are recorded and approved in the executive board minutes (checks, deposits, reimbursements, allocation of money) - Sends out emails when necessary - Creates a log of all activities that take place throughout the year - Creates a log to describe the process involved with every activity and/or concert throughout the year - Compiles birthday list and gives it to Public Relations officer. - Makes a handbook at the end of the year in conjunction with the executive board that guides the executive board of the following year of the timing, process, and procedures of managing the choir</p><p>Treasurer - Member of Executive Council and Choir Council - Attends all bi-weekly meetings - Keeps records of all fund-raisers - Takes attendance at all Executive and Choral Council Meetings - Makes sure all monetary transactions are recorded and approved in the executive board minutes (checks, deposits, reimbursements, allocation of money) - Makes sure the secretary records every usage of money in the executive board minutes - Manages all current fund-raising activities - Keeps an accurate account of all monetary transactions that take place in a separate treasury book. - Public Relations in planning all social events - Fulfills all Secretary responsibilities should Secretary be absent for meeting</p><p>Officers (ALL MEMBERS) -Attends all scheduled officer meetings - Always maintains a positive attitude about choir both during rehearsals and outside the class</p><p>Section Leaders - Member of Choir Council - Attends bi- weekly meetings - Piano Skills a Plus - Reports behavioral, and motivational problem to the Manager - Takes attendance and checks binders and monitors all aspects of section in daily rehearsal - Assists the director in leading warm-ups, and helping to improve the singers of the choir as both soloists and as an ensemble - Build confidence in all singers, motivating them to want to be successful - Offers assistance one-on-one in sight-reading - Rehearses the ensemble and conducts at concerts where Mrs. Gundling is not present - Knows the music to the best of his/her ability - Identifies trouble spots for his/her section and reports them to the director - Assists students of the section as necessary through personal coaching, encouragement, and positive modeling - Leads sectional - Teaches a Folk Song Each Semester - Ensures that each member of the section is prepared for each performance - Reports any sectional related issues or ideas to the director and/or manager - Collects permission slips, forms, and money, records it on designated forms, and hands to secretary whenever necessary</p><p>Librarian - Member of Choir Council - Attends bi-weekly meetings - Assists secretary in preparing music, hole punching, organizing for rehearsal - Numbers and distributes new music as it comes in - Collects and checks music at the end of each term, making lists of non-returned music - Takes care of any sheet music-related needs - Organizes NYSSMA solo music - Keeps all sheet music in the room organized and visually neat on a daily basis - Makes sure music in the choir room is ALWAYS sorted, and not laying on piano, table, etc. - Keeps all music organized - Works with section leaders in handling music distribution and all binder issues - Sets up and maintains chairs in accordance with seating chart - Makes sure all seats remain in order on a daily basis - Manages lost and found</p><p>Choir Clean-up Coordinator - Member of Choir Council - Attends all bi-weekly Executive Board Meetings - Cleans up after Night rehearsal (refreshments) - Clears seats of water bottles, and other non- paperwork - Assists Librarian when necessary to sort music - Keeps the seats, floors, piano, tabletops empty of papers</p>
