<p> NEW SWIMMER REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS</p><p>Welcome to all new and prospective Dolphin Aquatic swimmers and families. This document will walk you through our registration process and provide all other necessary information about our program.</p><p>STEP ONE: Read through our “Member Info” and “Parent Info” section of the web site for more information on practice group descriptions, practice schedules, meet info, and team apparel, and other contact information. Listed below is a brief description of each of these documents to help you find answers to your questions more quickly.</p><p>PRACTICE GROUP DESCRIPTIONS: Listed on our web site under “GROUP INFO” button. Included in this web page will be group description, meet expectations, equipment requirements, and billing info.</p><p>PRACTICE SCHEDULES: Practice schedules are subject to change from season to season. The pool will be closed for 2 weeks per year for maintenance. The first week in December and week two in June. Each family will be notified by email of any changes.</p><p>MEET SCHEDULES: We have different meet schedules for each practice group. Please check with your group coach for details. We do expect each swimmer to participate in at least 6 meets per year. More meet details can be found on our web site under “Meet /Events”. An e-mail will be sent to inform each family of the upcoming meets. </p><p>EQUIPMENT ORDER FORMS: DA is a Speedo sponsored team. We would like all of athletes to use the team apparel provided by our team supplier, Competitive Aquatic Supply (CAS) 714-898-2655 web site casswimshop.com. Order forms can be found on the web site under PARENT INFO. </p><p>VOLUNTEER POLICY: Parents will be expected to volunteer at meets. We do have timing responsibilities to fulfill for each meet. For more information please check the PARENT INFO button and click on POLICIES. </p><p>STEP TWO: Tryouts are for all swimmers between the ages of 5-18. Swimmers must come to the evaluation session ready to swim. This includes: Proper swim attire. Goggles and a swim cap if the child needs one. Evaluations will determine if the child is ready for organized competitive swim training. Each swimmer will be expected to complete 25 yards of freestyle and 25 yards of backstroke. You will need to show the coach your swimmer original birth certificate or passport and complete a Southern California Swimming registration form.</p><p>STEP THREE: Once your child has been placed into a group, go to our web site and complete the online registration. After you receive the email that your swimmer has been approved you may go onto the web site and complete the auto-pay. When you complete the online registration you will be charged the following amounts: New swimmer registration Fee $50 for one swimmer OR $75 New Family Registration Fee (2 or more new swimmers) Southern California Registration Fee $55 First Months Dues (vary according to group). If your swimmer registers on or after the 15th of the month your dues will be prorated.
