Hanson | COMP 3220 | University of Minnesota Duluth Redeye Reduction</p><p>What to do How to do it Pgs* Open image redeye.jpg Zoom in so the eye is large Control ++ or View>Zoom In 74-75 Edit in Quick Mask Mode Select “Edit in Quick Mask Mode” from toolbox or press Q 275 Select Paintbrush Tool Select from toolbox Modify brush Select size from pulldown menu on Option toolbar or Window>Brushes 2-3 Choose a soft-edged brush, size 15-20 Paint over red Be sure to only paint the red area of the eye Return to Standard Mode Select “Edit in Standard Mode” from toolbar or press Q *Important: area will be selected – do not deselect* Select inverse Select>Inverse or press Control+Shift+I Select Sponge tool On toolbar, located under the Dodge tool 200 Modify brush Choose same type of brush as recommended above Change Flow/Exposure percentage from 50 to 100% on Option toolbar Make sure that “Mode” from Option toolbar is set to “Desaturate” Paint red away Paint over affected area until red is gone Deselect Select>Deselect Pages from Weinman and Lourenkas, Photoshop 7 For Windows and Macintosh.
