Washington, D.C. 20500

Re: Earthquake Data updated March 2009

Dear Mr. President Obama,

My colleagues and I at the research laboratory of USGS Geologists have accumulated the information that you have requested regarding our most current knowledge of forecasted seismology activities throughout the Earth for March 2009.

Recently our data shows and confirms seismology activities occurring along the Western Hemisphere mainly showing the full coastal range of the Western most part of North America and South America. There have been as recent as today, March 24, 2009, activity showing earthquakes of a magnitude of 2 or 3 on the Richter scale along the State of California, USA. Also, there is recent activity along the State of Alaska as well as in the Caribbean Islands, and along the East coast of Asia and Indonesia.

We are actively monitoring this Western Coast with our updated equipment such as the updated Richter Scale and Seismology Equipment and will post you with updated information as we receive the data. The fault lines on the Earth’s crust as well as the plate lines and the shallow ocean trenches are being carefully watched by USGS.

You have inquired as to the relationship of volcanic activities to earthquake activity. It is determined by our studies that the moving plates of the Earth’s crust at colliding boundaries can cause both earthquakes as well as volcanoes.

We have been notified that you also request a summary of what is causing these earthquake activities. Our research shows us that the constant movement of the plates has accumulated friction and pressure that has been building up at the plate boundary lines and fault lines. This, in turn, causes sudden movements of the Earth’s crust rock and pressure is then released quickly resolving in an earthquake. Usgs geologist groups Edison School 5801 Main Avenue Bow, Wa. 98232

We shall be able to release at a soon date further data regarding your inquiries of earthquake and volcanic activities as we are updated in our laboratory. Please feel free to ask for further information or clarification of any items that have been presented to you.

Sincerely Yours

Dr. Alissa Founder of the USGS Geologist Group
