<p> Apparel and Textile Production II</p><p>Fashion Designer Research Project</p><p>Part 1: You will be researching and presenting information about a particular fashion designer or fashion topic. You will need to compose a 2 page information sheet, about your designer. This sheet needs to be 1” margins, 12 font, double spaced. It may be bulleted, but be sure to include all of the following information.  When and where were they born?  How did they get involved in the fashion industry?  What were their inspirations?  What type of styles did they design?  What were the major career steps?  How did they work, and with whom did they work?  Are they still living? If not who took over their designs and their design house?  What influences did/does this designer have on our fashion trends today?  Any other pertinent information to their career in fashion.  Where are we seeing this designer on a global level?  Are we seeing this designer in mainstream America such as Kohl’s and Target for example Analysis This is your analysis of you findings from the magazines, newspapers, and the internet. You need to check sources from around the world. In this section you might note whether you agree or disagree with what secondary sources comment about your designer’s work as it relates to what you found in the visuals. However, most of this section should be your own analysis of the designers work: strengths, weaknesses using the elements and principles of design as your reference point. </p><p>Part 2: Along with the paper you must include a presentation about the designer. You may choose to put information and pictures into a PowerPoint with 10-15 slides or a poster board. You can use Photostory, Powerpoint, or Prezi.com On each of these presentations there must be a minimum of 10 pictures, including one of the designers and some of their designs. You should use captions to explain what each photograph is. You should also site where you found the pictures.</p><p>Part 3: Design a garment in the likeness of the designer that you choose, incorporate facts from Design Elements and Principles.
