
<p> ELED Summer Reading Assignment One of the best ways to enjoy the summer is to catch some rays and get lost in a great book!!!!! Summer Reading is easy as 1-2-3</p><p>1. Read the book!!! Rising Freshman- 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers by Sean Covey</p><p>Rising Sophomores- Freedom Writer’s Diary by Erin Gruwell</p><p>Rising Juniors- A Lesson before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines</p><p>Rising Seniors- Daring Greatly by Brene Brown</p><p>2. Choose a product to create based from the book you read!!!</p><p> Physical product – build or make something; such as a fashion outfit, a computer program, a special engine or a model of a historical scene.</p><p> Written product – write a short novel, a short story, or a collection of poetry.</p><p> Performance – perform a dance, a musical selection that has been written, a drama or a magic show.</p><p> Conduct a teaching or leadership experience – teach a middle school or elementary class a series of lessons or a skill. For example, teach a dance class or coach a little league team. Physical experience– learn to sky dive, run a marathon or go on a wilderness survival trip.</p><p>3. Turn in your Summer Reading assignment on September 6, 2016 (Submit evidence of ALL work!! Ex: pictures, journals, etc.)</p><p>Summer reading is very important and keeps literacy skills fresh in children's minds.
