How does distance affect the electrostatic force?</p><p>2. Observe the behavior of the latex balloons as the teacher/student interacts with them. Based on your experience with the electrostatic sticky tapes, make a claim about what is causing the balloon’s behavior in the space below. Add reasoning to back up your claim.</p><p>3. Observe the Balloons and Static Electricity PHET. Use your observations to describe how the balloon is charged by friction. Add a microscopic sketch showing changes in electrostatic charges.</p><p>4. Based on what you observed in the computer simulation, summarize using words and a picture what it means for an object to be described as neutrally charged, positively charged, and negatively charged.
