Phone # +92 42 99237019, Email [email protected] 1. Meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran at 10:20 am. Prof. Dr. Aamir Ijaz (Director, QEC) briefed the participants about the importance of Self Assessment procedure as well as the Teachers & Courses Evaluation in the educational institutions. They were also told that the requirements of resources i.e. infrastructure, facilities (computer labs/teachers) etc. can be identified in their SAR. Director, QEC presented a power point presentation comprising of the following contents:- </p><p> Procedure of Self Assessment Process  Survey forms of the Teachers & Courses Evaluation  Future Plans of QEC  Latest Status about self assessment procedure of Faculty of Oriental Learning</p><p>SAR Sent SAR received Executive PTs SAR Audit Implementation Department back for after Summary formed received Completed Plan Changes Improvement prepared Department of √ √ √ √ √ √ √ Urdu Department of √ √ √ √ √ √ √ Persian</p><p>Department of x x x x x x X Arabic</p><p>Department of x x x x x x X Punjabi</p><p>Department of x x x x x x x Kashmir Studies</p><p>2. Director QEC further advised the participants that</p><p> a) These surveys should be carried out for all the Teachers; Permanent, Contract and Visiting teachers as well. </p><p> b) It was discussed to conduct online teacher and course evaluation of all the departments under this faculty. c) Summary of teacher evaluations is to be shared with HOD and Dean of the respective faculty. Results may be conveyed to the concerned teacher by the HOD. d) Course evaluation by teacher should also be carried out by circulating the proforma amongst all the teachers. e) QEC staff is available at any time for assistance if so required. Director QEC told the participants that any suggestions to improve the evaluation system are welcomed and the departments are at their liberty to change the evaluation proforma. 4. Latest status of the departments was shown to the departments; and the departments committed with QEC about the dates of submission of their SARs. </p><p>Meeting ended with the vote of thanks by the Director QEC to the participants.</p><p>Decisions of the Meeting:</p><p>1. Department of Urdu should submit its separate self-assessment reports for each program offered by the department by the end of July, 2015. 2. Department of Persian should submit its separate self-assessment reports for each program offered by the department by the end of July, 2015. 3. Department of Arabic should submit its separate self-assessment reports for each program offered by the department by the end of August, 2015. 4. Department of Punjabi should submit its separate self-assessment reports for each program offered by the department by the end of August, 2015. 5. Department of Kashmir Studies should submit its separate self-assessment reports for each program offered by the department by the end of August, 2015. 6. Progress of departments about the submission of self-assessment reports will be checked through regular follow up by QEC. 7.
