<p> DAYL ELDER LAW COMMITTEE AND DALLAS VOLUNTEER ATTORNEY PROGRAM Present PROBATE SYMPOSIUM 2013 BELO PAVILION Wednesday, October 2, 2013, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Social Hour, with Cash Bar Available: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 4.0 Hours CLE; 1.0 Hour Ethics This seminar will offer tips in Probate, Guardianship, and Elder Law for the representation of senior citizens in Short & Long Term Estate Planning. Sessions will include a legislative update panel discussion on changes to wills, trusts, probate, and guardianship law. In addition, the event will feature an overview of the new Estates Code by attorneys with the Texas Legislative Council, and a presentation on the ethical considerations of determining a client’s capacity for making legal decisions. The Symposium will conclude with a judges’ panel discussion featuring Dallas County Probate Judges. A social hour with the judges will immediately follow the training. Admission for the Probate Symposium is $50, or free to attorneys who agree to assist a DVAP client. If you select the “free” option and do not fulfill your obligation, you will be billed $100 for the course and the MCLE credit rescinded.
