<p> MEDICAL WRITING SCIENTIST </p><p>Report to: Manager of Medical Writing, China R&D</p><p>POSITION SUMMARY </p><p>Medical Writers in the Medical Writing Core Group of China R&D collaborate with Lead writers in Regulatory Medical Writing global team, and members of the global/Asia Pacific/China clinical study team to prepare protocols and Clinical Study Reports (CSRs). The scope of the work includes global, regional, and local studies across all phases of human development. </p><p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>A. Responsible for preparing sound scientific/clinical documents in assigned areas under minimal supervision using established templates and guidelines.</p><p>B. Specific duties:</p><p>1. Prepares and finalizes basic clinical documents with increasing independence.</p><p> a. Documents must be of high quality in terms of scientific content, as well as organization per regulatory and internal guidances, clarity, and accuracy, with attention to format and consistency.</p><p> b. Documents must be prepared within established timelines and in accordance with internal processes.</p><p> c. Document content must adhere to regulatory guidelines, or journal/authorship requirements and ethical publishing standards, as applicable; internal guidelines, styles; and electronic standards and guidelines.</p><p>2. Works collaboratively in a team environment, and takes a proactive role on multiple assigned projects with respect to timing, scheduling, tracking, and publication strategy as appropriate.</p><p>C. Judgment (decision-making):</p><p>Decision-making includes: recognizing how to best interpret and coordinate statistical and medical interpretation of data into the appropriate organization and document structure to ensure quality and accuracy of content, under supervision.</p><p>D. Initiative: Works as a member of a team under direction and is responsible for organizing own time in an optimal fashion.</p><p>E. Contact with others (interdependent partnering):</p><p>Interacts in a manner that facilitates teamwork and productivity. Takes an active role (with demonstrated ability to take on a lead role) on assigned projects with respect to planning of content, format, and timing of documents.</p><p>F. Communication:</p><p>Demonstrates excellent listening skills and is proficient at sending clear, convincing, and well-tuned messages through a variety of media including but not limited to business discussions and agreements (one-on-one or larger groups) and electronic mail messages. </p><p>DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS </p><p>*Masters or above majoring in biology, medicine, pharmacy or other related areas.</p><p>*1-2 years’ MW experience is a plus.</p><p>*Excellent English writing and fluent oral English.</p><p>*Paper publishing on international journals is a plus. </p>
