After takeoff and level flight, and prior to the flight becoming official on turning inverted in the reverse wingover, “warm-up maneuvers” are permitted </p><p>Logic behind proposed change, including alleged shortcomings of the present rules: (State intent for future reference.) The proposal returns the explicit reference to “warm-up” maneuvers. This was deleted previously for reasons unknown but it is still the general belief that they are permitted even with the new FAI-inspired pattern rules (and the proposed return of pattern points).
