<p>English 12 Hamlet project options NAME:</p><p>Individual projects:  Create diary entries for a character in Hamlet: o Minimum 10 entries. o Must be typed or artfully written in ink. o Pull in details from the play to enhance your grade.  Make a soundtrack sampler for your movie version of Hamlet: o Identify music and artist. o Explain what scene each track goes with and why you chose it for that scene. o Minimum 10 scenes/10 tracks.  Create a movie poster for your movie version of Hamlet. o Full poster size o Color or ink only (no pencil only posters). o Cast actors for each role (on back rationale for each casting decision and explanation of overall design).  Create a comic book retelling of Hamlet. o Should be in color/ink only. o Minimum number of panels is 40.  Watch another version of Hamlet and write a 2-4 page paper explaining the differences between the Branagh movie and the version you watched. o Other versions include those with Ethan Hawke, Mel Gibson, Sir Laurence Olivier. o Why do you think the director did what he did? o What was your reaction to the changes that the director made in his film?  Design costumes (color drawings) for the major characters in Hamlet. o Write a paragraph for each drawing explaining why you have come up with that particular costume for that particular character. o Each drawing should be approximately 8 ½ “ X 11”.</p><p>Individual or group project:  Compose and perform an original song based on Hamlet. o Should be minimum 5 minutes long. o Should have some sort of music accompaniment. o Could be made into a music video. Group projects:  Create a movie trailer for your version of Hamlet. o Should be 5-7 minutes in length. o Should have visual and sound/music component. o Should create desire to see your whole movie when it opens.  Film a talk show featuring the characters and themes from Hamlet. o You decide talk show model. o Turn in recording and script. o Should be minimum 7-10 minutes long.</p>
