<p> Navarro College Volleyball Open Tryout</p><p>Navarro College and Head Volleyball Coach Kasey McBrearty have announced an open volleyball tryout on December 1 at 10:00 a.m. in the SEC Building on Navarro College campus. Physical address: 3200 W. 7th Avenue Corsicana, Texas 75110. The open tryout is a great opportunity to show your talent and potentially be asked to join our volleyball team or be offered a scholarship. </p><p>There is no pre-registration for the tryout. </p><p>Tryout Date Scheduled</p><p>Saturday, December 1, @ 10:00 a.m. </p><p>Tryout drills Each player in attendance will be graded on the following items:</p><p> Passing  Receiving  Setting  Hitting  Serving  Blocking</p><p>Players may receive written evaluator comments in categories such as:</p><p> Quickness  Athleticism  Court Awareness  Teamwork  Size/Strength</p><p>You will need to bring the following to participate:</p><p> Court shoes</p><p> Work-out clothes</p><p> A copy of your physical</p><p> Please print out and fill out as necessary</p><p>Please confirm via email if you will be attending. All paperwork will be filled out upon arrival. If you have any questions please email [email protected]</p><p>Warning – Assumption of Risk There are many special benefits from the activity being afforded to student/athletes by the volleyball program at Navarro College. Within the activities it must be understood that there are dangers that lead to injury to student/athletes. Therefore the purpose of this section is to make all student/athletes aware that dangers do exist and that participation is voluntary with the understanding that risks are involved. It is to be further understood that student/athletes must share in this responsibility of their own safety and the safety of others as each participates in the volleyball tryout at Navarro College.</p><p>The student/athlete participating in the volleyball tryout at Navarro College could injure the anatomy of either one or several of the following; musculo-skeletal system, nervous system, circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, reproductive system, endocrine system and skin. Catastrophic injuries such as death, permanent paralysis and loss of organs may occur during sport participation. There is not an absolute preventative against any injury. Navarro College does not offer supplemental insurance to participate in the football combine at Navarro College. Any injury sustained by the student/athlete will be resolved by their own means. </p><p>By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read the “Warning-Assumption of Risk” statement above and are aware there is a possibility you may incur an injury of varying temporary or permanent disability to any of the body’s systems. Also, you acknowledge risk of death, permanent paralysis, loss of organs and life-long disability that may occur as a result of the volleyball tryout at Navarro College.
