<p> THOMPSON-NICOLA REGIONAL DISTRICT POLICY</p><p>POLICY TITLE: SERVICES – WATER SYSTEMS SUB: WATER METERS</p><p>EFFECTIVE DATE AMENDMENT DATE: MARCH 29, 2007</p><p>Policy Statement:</p><p>1. THAT water meters remain voluntary for existing TNRD water systems, and those included within the system takeover moratorium as identified below:</p><p>Existing:  Barriere Water System;  Black Pines Community Water System;  Blue River Community Water System;  Del Oro Community Water System;  Evergreen Community Water System;  Loon Lake Community Water System;  Maple Mission Community Water System;  Pritchard Developments Community Water System;  Savona Community Water System;  Spences Bridge Community Water System;  Vavenby Community Water System; and  Walhachin Community Water System; </p><p>Under Consideration  Miller Subdivision Water System;  Paul Lake (Deerwood Subdivision) Water System;  Pritchard (Laveau Road) Community Water System; and  Rivershore Water System.</p><p>2. That all TNRD water systems be subject to an increased conservation and education awareness campaign, and continued use of water restrictions.</p><p>3. That water meters may be considered for installation in any TNRD water system at the request of the users.</p><p>4. That water meters be mandatory for any new systems taken over by the TNRD beyond those systems noted above.</p><p>Page 1 of 1 Policy No. 15.3</p>
