<p>Cal Baptist University Business Reports Analyst Information Tech Services</p><p>Uses reporting and analysis tools to query data repositories and generate reports for various campus constituents in order to help administrators make business decisions by identifying trends and patterns based on stored operational data. Works closely with California Baptist University departments to assist in training users and developing reports to meet specific needs. A 40 hour, 12 month, Non- Exempt position.</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><p>1. Responsible for framework modeling, report writing, creating cubes and dashboard reports utilizing the Cognos 8.X suite of products (Framework Manager, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, etc.). 2. Administer all aspects of Cognos 8.X such as user accounts, framework enhancements, permissions, software upgrades, etc. 3. Develop and support an executive dashboard based on key performance indicators. 4. Work directly with various ITS technical staff to ensure system stability and maintain up-to-date Cognos operating environment. 5. Develop data extract mechanisms in order to export data to other application programs or systems. 6. Assist in conversion of existing reports from other reporting/analysis tools. 7. Track, resolve, document and communicate solutions to customer requests. 8. Provide user support and training for Cognos 8.X suite of tools. 9. Work closely with department personnel to evaluate current and future business reporting needs. 10. Troubleshoot and resolve report failures and performance problems.</p><p>OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
