<p> Dreher High School Attendance Policy 2016-17 Teachers’ Procedures</p><p> Teachers will take attendance at the beginning of each class.</p><p> Student(s) who have been absent previously should have an Admit Slip.</p><p> Send student(s) who do not have an Admit slip to Attendance.</p><p> Attendance will call parent/guardian to verify absence(s).</p><p> Student(s) may need to see Ms. Jowers, Mr. Dease, or Dr. Georgie if absences are unexcused or excessive. (Attendance personnel will act accordingly.)</p><p>Consequences</p><p> 1st Cut: Written Referral, Parental Contact, Wednesday School</p><p> 2nd Cut: Written Referral, Parental Contact, 1 Day of ISS</p><p> 3rd Cut: Written Referral, Parental Contact/Conference, Behavioral Plan, 1 Day ISS</p><p> 4th Cut: Written Referral, ISS pending Parent Conference with Social Worker and Administrator, AIP, RTI/SIT</p><p> 5th Cut: Written Referral, 2 Days ISS and Parent Conference, AIP Violation, Home visit via Social Worker</p><p> 6th Cut: Written Referral for Truancy, Petition Filed, 3 Days ISS, Pre-hearing Parent Conference</p><p> 7th Cut: Written Referral, Administrative and Parent Conference, Court Order Violation, 2 to 5 days OSS, possible Hearing Board recommendation Excessive Absences Students may be absent ten (10) days in a yearlong class and five (5) days in a semester class. These days include unexcused and excused absences.
