
<p> Folsom Cordova Unified School District Measure G Citizens Oversight Committee April 4, 2016 4:30 p.m. ESC</p><p>MINUTES</p><p>Committee Members:</p><p>Present: David Reid, Jennifer Lane, Dawn Takamoto, Fabienne Johansson, Nichole Willenborg, Ken Reynolds, Elaine Andersen Absent: Ginger Sackmann Others Present: School district staff: Rhonda Crawford, Matt Washburn, Geri Wickham, Mike Hammond, Daniel Thigpen, and JoAnne McCarthy.</p><p>Proceedings:</p><p>Meeting called to order 4:32 pm.</p><p>Approval of meeting minutes: Nicole Willenborg moved to approve the January 11, 2016, minutes and David Reid seconded the motion. Minutes were approved unanimously.</p><p>Development/project update:</p><p>Matt Washburn and the Facilities and Planning Department staff reviewed all current construction projects:</p><p> Vista del Lago High School – Bleacher and stadium expansion, field house, track repairs and restrooms. Bid opening is April 5, 2016, presenting to the board on April 7, 2016. The bid climate is somewhat of a challenge. Construction is due to begin late April. Letters to Caversham Drive neighbors has been sent detailing potential issues related to construction work. Natural occurring asbestos is being addressed. Anticipated completion is December, 2016. Folsom High School – New auxiliary gymnasium. Bid opening is May 3, 2016. Anticipated completion date is June, 2017. Sutter Middle School – Phase 1A - 15 portables being relocated. Completion date 4-6 years. Charter school being relocated. Review of future phases was discussed. Carl Sundahl Elementary School – Two Phase modernization project. o Stephanie Shirkey presented a letter expressing her disappointment that the modernization project is, in her opinion, hindering the availability of all-day kindergarten. Rhonda Crawford suggested that she contact Curtis Wilson, Assistant Superintendent – Elementary Instruction. David Reid indicated that this type of issue is out of the purview of the Measure G Citizens Oversight Committee. Major technology infrastructure beginning this summer at all Folsom school sites. Page 2</p><p>2015 Annual Report: Rhonda Crawford presented the Measure G 2015 Annual Audit Report. No findings were identified.</p><p>Communication: David Reid inquired about the issues that Christina Mendonza had expressed in an email that was shared with the committee. Dan Thigpen, Communication Director, responded that he has continued to have communication with Ms. Mendonza, sharing the Measure G planning process, committee formation and project priority determination. </p><p>Other Committee Topics: Due to Dennis Rogers’ resignation, the Committee needs to elect a new Chairperson. Fabienne Johannson made a motion to elect Elaine Andersen as the new Chairperson, Jennifer Lane seconded the motion. Nomination was unanimously approved. Fabienne Johannson made a motion to elect Jennifer Lane as the new Vice Chairperson, Elaine Andersen seconded the motion. Nomination was unanimously approved. The committee currently has two vacancies, community member at large and member of a taxpayer organization. Committee vacancies will be in the Folsom Telegraph April 13, 2016.
