<p> HIGH HESKET C of E SCHOOL (VC) High Hesket, CARLISLE, Cumbria CA4 0HU TEL: 016974 73386 Head teacher: Mrs Margaret Taylor Email: [email protected] Website: www.high-hesket.cumbria.sch.uk</p><p>Dear Parents 14th January 2015 </p><p>Skipping Workshop – Thursday, 22 nd January 2015 (Year 1 to Year 6 children)</p><p>I am pleased to inform you that we have invited Skipping Workshops Ltd to hold an all-day skipping workshop in school next week, which gives the children an opportunity to learn a complete range of skipping skills.</p><p>“Skipping Workshops” have presented demonstrations in schools over the past 18 years throughout the UK, Europe and Ireland. They have represented the UK in international skipping events, and have appeared several times on TV, including Blue Peter and even helping to teach Mr Bean to skip! Their aim is to encourage children to skip for health, fun and fitness.</p><p>The team coach will work with groups of children, introducing a variety of skipping skills, catering for all levels from complete beginners to advance skippers.</p><p>The gymnastic speed ropes the children will use during the day can be ordered from school at a cost of £4.00 each. Adult ropes can also be purchased and these cost £5.50 each. The ropes are made to a high standard, are light and easy to turn and allow children and adults to progress rapidly with their new skipping skills. If you would like to order skipping ropes for either your child or yourself, please complete and return the slip below, together with correct payment by Monday, 26th January at the latest so that we can place our order (cheques payable to High Hesket School please).
