Itinerary</p><p>The dinner train adventure will start at Maitland train station, here the guests will be picked up in buses and transported to the Red Shed at east Greta.</p><p>The Red Shed</p><p>The Red Shed at east Greta is the home of the South Maitland railway, it’s where it all started and has historical significance for the 10 Class steam locomotives.</p><p>Guests will stop by the red shed on their way to Pelaw Main and be given a brief historical talk .</p><p>Pelaw Main Station</p><p>From the Red shed, the group will be transported by bus to Pelaw Main Station. Here they will be officially welcomed to the site and greeted by the ‘Mining federation pipe and drums band’, which will help set the atmosphere for this unique and special evening.</p><p>Richmond Vale</p><p>The group will then board the steam train bound for Richmond Vale.</p><p>Once arriving at Richmond Vale guests will alight and enjoy sparkling wine on arrival and canapés in the veranda of the mining museum.</p><p>Mining Museum</p><p>The museum will be open for guests to wander through and enjoy the mining history of our region.</p><p>Trackless Train While enjoying canapés, guests can also take a 10 minute trackless train ride around a guided circuit to view the loco buildings. </p><p>Main Course</p><p>After the trackless train ride, guests will make their way up to our main building to be seated for Dinner.</p><p>Entertainment Throughout the dinner service, guests will be entertained by the very talented Phil Tweed.</p><p>Phil Tweed is a highly accomplished musical director, producer, musician, pianist and award winning singer and songwriter, he is well known around the Hunter Region and will set the perfect atmosphere with his piano bar style singing many old favourites and well known tunes.</p><p>After the main course is served, guests will be delighted to hear the Minmi Magster, a traditional bush poet, who will bring history to life with his stories and poems.</p><p>Dessert will be served for Guests to take with them on their train ride back to Pelaw Main, on arriving back at the Pelaw Main station, guests will then be transported by bus back to Maitland after a wonderful evening set back in time.</p><p>Menu: Canapes:  Blinis with smoked salmon and lemon crème fraiche  Pate on crouton with fig jam  Thai style sweet and sour pork salad on crispy Wonton  Pumpkin risotto balls with aioli  Prawn Wontons with Soya and ginger</p><p>Mains Pan seared salmon with herb potato salad & Fennel salad or Beef with mash potato, root vegetables & red wine sauce </p><p>Takeaway Dessert Mini Pavlova with cream Banana, strawberries, & Passion fruit or Chocolate Mousse Cups with raspberry compote </p><p>Cost: $99.00 per head (BYO alcohol see special requirements section below) </p><p>Program</p><p>5.45pm Pick up at Maitland Station (ticket 1 to 50) 6.00pm Historical talk The Red Shed Greta (ticket 1 to 50) 6.00pm Pick up at Maitland Station (ticket 51 to 100) 6.15pm Historical talk The Red Shed Greta (ticket 51 to 100) 6.30pm arrive Pelaw Main Station bus 1 music and welcome 6.45pm Pelaw Main Station, depart for Richmond Vale bus 1 6.45pm arrive Pelaw Main Station bus 2 music and welcome 7.00pm Pelaw Main Station, depart for Richmond Vale bus 2 7.15pm Arrive at Richmond Vale, Canapés served, trackless train tour, Mining Museum 8.15pm Dinner served 7.30pm – 9.45pm Entertainment by Phil Tweed and Minmi Magster 9pm Auction for a ride on the footplate (one person only) 10.00pm Train departs Richmond Vale for Pelaw Main reverse of arrival 10.15pm Bus transports guests back to Maitland reverse of arrival</p><p>Special requirements 1. Please advise of any dietary requirements to the event manager</p><p>2. RVRM has a red or white wine on offer from a prestige Hunter winery for anyone who would like to pre-order a six pack or doz to take home</p><p>3. The society is also seeking donations for loco restoration. All donations of $2 will be tax deductible.</p><p>4.
