<p> AMERICA THE HIDEOUS© Judge Naidu</p><p>I spent years tracing and searching answers to the American psyche (soul, mind and spirit) in an effort to understand what an American is all about. I lived there amongst you for almost 39 years. (I almost typed “tears”). </p><p>In this venture I am talking strictly of the white Europeans who flocked into Indian Country America in the 19th century. When I say “white Europeans” I do so as a racialist, not a racist person. I am a “FBI – Full Blooded Indian” - whose ancestors hail from India. I belong to the human race. That is all that matters. That’s as racist as I get. Frankly, I do better with friendly equines, canines and felines.</p><p>History has evidenced the treatment meted out to African slaves and Native Americans, often termed American Indians or Redskins, in the name of civilization and Christianity. These disenfranchised and marginalized People have done nothing to restore their dignity as of today except to give in to impotent legislation and hypocritical diplomacy while the rage continues under different hues, strains and names. </p><p>The American psyche is all about “I come first,” or the “my issue is the only issue here” syndrome. Some fool even wrote a book sounding like “Taking Care of No.1,” and even “I Matter.” All these serve as proof, evidence, reflections and symbols of utter selfishness, an apparently sure sign of a warped sense of balance. A sage once opined that in India the belief is thus: “Thou art, therefore I am.” I am here because of You, Oh God. In the west, it is apparent that the “I am, therefore thou art” reigns supreme. You are here Oh God because I created you. This imbalance makes sense as to why the white American is the way he is. It’s the inherent nature that cannot be changed or overcome like a (bad) habit.</p><p>The one incident that makes me want to puke over and over again is the ultimate treatment of Lt. William Calley, a/k/a Lt. Shithead, as christened by his own men - the psychopath who killed 102 unarmed civilians in the </p><p>1 infamous My Lai Massacre– babies, their mothers and old folks. And there was another similar massacre in the village of My Khe on 16 March 1968 this time led by a deranged Capt. Thomas K Willingham, who was more than willing to kill almost ninety civilians. My research indicates that the almighty Pentagon and the always mighty Justice Department entered into secret discussions in 1970 to give qualification and justification to the cover- up for almost four and a half years. My Khe is almost never mentioned. Nice isn’t it when the government agrees and decides to conceal murder by its own soldier gangsters. In the name of war. To hell with the Geneva Convention, right, and even allow torture to find the bogeymen real and imgained.</p><p>Capt. Willingham claimed memory loss or a right to silence, and subsequently all charges against him were dropped. AMERICAN JUSTICE ?</p><p>For all the carnage and murders that Lt. Shithead Calley caused, reports say he spent only 3 days behind bars as his life imprisonment was commuted after the “Rally-for-Calley” campaign when (President) Nixon was engrossed in being fine tuned to the popular mood. Right-wing America had escalated this leper from martyr to saint because Charlie Manson was becoming the news of the day in March 1971. Lt. Calley was carrying out orders, at the end of the day. Charlie Manson was more criminal, the press opined. Right-wing America funds and fuels the press, the media, the whole stinking lot. By the way, I am not a left-wing moron, either. I simply hate politics and politicians.</p><p>Incidentally, my research also shows that then Governor Jimmy Carter of Georgia routed Georgians to drive with their vehicle headlights on during daytime to show their support for this murderer of unarmed babies, their mothers, and old folks. Carter should have stuck to peanut farming.</p><p>America supports the nation of Israel. Most Americans have forgotten that then prime minister Ariel Sharon in 1982 failed to prevent the slaughter of a thousand Palestinians at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps. A Belgian </p><p>2 court did not succeed in convening a war crimes tribunal because of protests by America and the Israeli officials. Might is right with American muscles and missiles. NATO shall be pulled out if Europe did not align itself to the American bully. But what is NATO doing ? What new enemy do we have to fight? Even the “ISIS” threat does not involve military action by NATO! I think European leaders are simply naïve and downright dumb.</p><p>Another equally vomit-inducing-rage-inciting-shame-showcasing incident happened in Colfax, Louisiana, on Easter Sunday 1873, when a mob of white insurgents, including ex-Confederate and Union soldiers, led an assault on the Grant Parish Courthouse, the center of civic life in the community, which was occupied and surrounded — and defended — by black citizens determined to safeguard the results of the state's most recent election. They, too, were armed, but they did not have the ammunition to outlast their foes, who, outflanking them, proceeded to mow down dozens of the courthouse's black defenders, even when they surrendered their weapons. The legal ramifications were as horrifying as the violence — and certainly more enduring; in an altogether different kind of massacre, United States v. Cruikshank (1876), the U.S. Supreme Court tossed prosecutors' charges against the killers in favor of severely limiting the federal government's role in protecting the emancipated from racial targeting, especially at the hands of the Ku Klux Klan. Historians know this tragedy as the Colfax Massacre, though in the aftermath, even today, some whites refer to it as the Colfax Riot in order to lay blame at the feet of those who, lifeless, could not tell their tale. In his canonical history of the period, Reconstruction: America's Unfinished Revolution, 1863-1877, Eric Foner has called the Colfax Massacre "[t]h.e bloodiest single instance of racial carnage in the Reconstruction era." A generation earlier, Joel A. Rogers cited it to African Americans as an instance of Your History: From Beginning of Time to the Present.</p><p>3 MY QUESTION TO YOU: Now, imagine a couple of Vietnamese, or other bogeymen, real and imagined, doing what Calley did to American babies, their mothers and old folks in America; or a few hundred foreign soldiers killing innocent American babies, their mothers and old folks in a refugee camp; or Black Americans slaughtering white defenders of the results of a recent election? WILL THEY BE JUSTIFIED FOR THEIR ACTIONS IN THE REASONS THEY OFFER AS A DEFENCE?</p><p>Please, I want you to take some time and send me an email expressing your sentiments, opinions feelings and thoughts to the last question I posed.</p><p>That would give me rest in my quest to understand the American psyche.</p><p>P.S.
