Dear Parent/Guardian s10

11th October 2010

Dear Parent/Guardian,

During recent guide line changes it has being recommended by OFSTED and agreed by the school that parents should be given more access to the information a school has on their children. This is done to encourage parents to become more active in their child’s life within school and help the school achieve the best for the child.

To follow this guideline Aston Manor School is now in a position to enable parents to logon on to the schools database through a web site called ePortal. This site will allow you to view your child’s attendance, recorded assessment grades, reports, time tables and many other pieces of information concerning your child.

If you would like access to this service please fill in the attached form and return it the schools main office as soon as possible. This form is a legal document and must be kept for audit purposes to ensure only the parent/guardian stated on the form is given access to the correct student.

Information can be found on the school website: http://www.astonmanor.bham.sch.uk/eportal-information/

If you have any questions please contact the school office or speak to the ICT department.

Yours sincerely

Heather Roberts Headteacher
