<p>Council of Chairs Meeting Minutes Thursday, November 16, 2006 8:30 AM, 245 POT</p><p>1) Jamie Johnson, the new A&S Career Counselor, was introduced and made a presentation of the services offered by her office. The Dean’s Office will cover any associated costs if departments want to hold UG major/career counseling meetings with Jamie Johnson. </p><p>2) Dean Hoch presented the FY07 and FY08 budgets. Associate Dean Bachas presented the FY07 summer school revenues. Revenues will be distributed to departments in the coming week. </p><p>3) A revised version of the Departmental and Faculty Undergraduate Advising Guidelines was considered. No objections were made to the revisions.</p><p>4) The Chairs began their initial discussion of the College’s AY08 salary policy. The discussion will continue at the next Chair’s meeting.</p><p>5) The Dean’s Office proposed consolidating the academic plan due date (December 15) with the faculty line request due date (January 26). Chairs chose to keep the two due dates separate.</p><p>6) Chairs were reminded that their FY08 departmental budget requests are due November 17. Dean Hoch said that items related to the instructional mission will receive the highest priority. </p>
