<p> Minutes District 10, Texas Library Association Caucus at TLA 2013 Fort Worth Convention Center Friday, April 26, 2013</p><p>Members present: Karen Baen, Laura Bechtel, Matt DeWaelsche, Tosca Gonsalves, Arthalene Gordey, Natalie Morgan, Dianna Morganti, Maria Elena Ovalle, Gretchen Pruett, Christina Reedy, Martha Rossi, Daniel Schwartz, Lynn Thompson, Kelli Wilder, Jennifer Zinn.</p><p>Didi Morganti, Chair, called meeting to order and everyone introduced him/herself.</p><p>Minutes of the business meeting at the 2012 Fall Workshop were approved, after adding Lynn Thompson to members attending.</p><p>Daniel Schwartz gave the Treasurer’s report. Didi Morganti added that the report does not include a $340 donation made on March 29, 2013 to Tall Texan. This was possible since we spent less on the Fall meeting than planned. </p><p>Didi also announced that Natalie Morgan is now a Tall Texan.</p><p>Maria Elena Ovalle announced the theme for TLA 2014 in San Antonio: LEAD out loud. </p><p>Didi Morganti introduced the new officers: </p><p>Chair: Kelli Wilder</p><p>Chair elect: Natalie Morgan</p><p>Secretary: Tosca Gonsalves</p><p>Treasurer: Dale McNeill</p><p>Webmaster: Lori Laguna</p><p>A vote was taken to decide if we would hold a Fall conference/workshop again and most members attending were in favor. Traditionally the place where this is held alternates yearly between inside and outside of San Antonio. Since we were in Boerne last year, this year would be in San Antonio. A planning committee was formed: Didi Morganti, Kelli Wilder, Tosca Gonsalves, Marti Rossi and Natalie Morgan. Marti suggested a focus on college/career readiness and working with cafécollege and/or workforce solutions. We need a draft plan by Annual Assembly (first week of July). Traditionally we have 3 or 4 speakers and a general session.</p><p>Didi said if we are interested in continuing the District 10 socials, she is willing to continue hosting them.</p><p>Our next meeting is at Annual Assembly which will be held July 7 – 10. </p>
