<p> Technology: SuccessMaker Enterprise (SME) Science 40 Points per Certificate 7/12 3-003-078 General Objectives</p><p>The purpose of this component is to provide teachers with the skills needed to integrate the Pearson Success Maker Enterprise courseware into the classroom curriculum and to skillfully use the management system to assess student progress.</p><p>Specific Objectives 1. Upon completion of this component, participants will be able to: 2. Use SuccessMaker reference materials including the Online Training Tool, Steps to Success 3. Understand SuccessMaker course structure and content including a. Foundations courses b. Strands structure c. Lessons structure d. ExploreWare courses 4. Select appropriate courses and lessons for students 5. Sign on and take sample lessons in SuccessMaker courses 6. Identify basic reports to monitor student progress 7. Understand the SuccessMaker naming conventions for groups and users 8. Understand the SuccessMaker management system security levels 9. Access the management system routines easily 10. Use the management system to enter, view and change information for individuals or whole classes 11. Use the management system to edit group properties 12. Use course editors to plan lessons/ units for students 13. Use portfolio browser as a teaching tool 14. Understand and use the SME publications</p><p>Description of Activities</p><p>Under the direction of a qualified consultant, participants will receive instruction designed to achieve the specific objectives listed above. Activities will be primarily hands-on training, but may include such things as lectures, discussions and demonstrations.</p><p>Evaluation of Participants</p><p>Evaluation of the specific objectives will be determined by the activity leader or designee through analysis of student performance data affected by training activities, portfolios maintained by the training participant, documented observation by administrators, rubrics developed for special area curriculum, teacher-provided test results/grade books, or curriculum alignment data. </p><p>Evaluation of Activity</p><p>An online evaluation for this activity will be conducted through the Santa Rosa Professional Growth System.</p>
