<p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2-9-2015</p><p>MUSTARD SEED FUND NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS</p><p>The Mustard Seed Fund was established in 2011 as a perpetual legacy to the memory of Wilmington residents Byron Stratas and Fred Rippy. It is administered by the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF). The goal of the endowment is to provide support for high school or college students or adults from southeastern North </p><p>Carolina who are participating in mission trips through qualified 501(c)3 charities and faith-based organizations.</p><p>The 2015 application period is now open, and the application is available on the </p><p>New Hanover Community Foundation page on NCCF’s website </p><p>(nccommunityfoundation.org). All application packets (completed application and two letters of reference) must be postmarked by April 10, 2015. The review committee will announce awards in May 2015. The review committee will only consider applications for mission trips that begin after June 1, 2015.</p><p>A breakfast was held WHERE Jan. 31 to honor past award recipients Shelley </p><p>Heinrichs, Hope Heinrichs and Kate Lapp.</p><p>To contribute to the Mustard Seed Fund:</p><p>Gifts to the fund may be made in many forms, including cash and gifts of stock. </p><p>Visit NCCF’s website for information on how to give or to make a gift online.
