<p> Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC) 2011 Golden Abacus Award for Best Practices in the Non-Clinical Arena</p><p>The CBHC Data, Budget and Finance Committee is accepting nominations for the Golden Abacus Award. Nominees must be programs within the community mental health system. The award will be granted to a project, methodology, technology, system or procedure that demonstrates best practice in the non-clinical arena. All nominated programs will be evaluated on the following criteria:</p><p> Applicable to Managed Care  Quality Improvement  Broad Appeal  Transferable  Innovative  Usefulness  Integration</p><p>The winning program will be one that is easily replicated at any center. Its implementation will result in a superior product: a better service or product in either the for-profit or the non-pr ofit arena. The committee will consider proposals that demonstrate innovative approaches to the management of, or implementation of, systems or organizations. Submissions may be in t he following areas:</p><p> Research/research findings  Finance or use of resources  Personnel  Quality improvement  Systems/services/program integration  Use of technology  Partnerships/alliances</p><p>All proposals must include a fifty (50) word Abstract and a Program Description (limite d to 2 pages) that includes program development information, innovative aspects and pertinent data. Please use the following forms. </p><p>The Golden Abacus Award will be presented to the winner during the CBHC Annual Conference, September 30-October 2, 2011 at Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center, Breckenridge, CO. </p><p>Please submit your proposals VIA EMAIL by Friday, July 1, 2011 to: Tracy O’Shaughnessy CBHC E-mail: [email protected]</p><p>We anticipate the winner will be notified in August.
