<p> Press Release</p><p>For immediate Publication</p><p>Jazz Made in Canada</p><p>You have heard of JAZZ AT THE LIBRARY; the continuing series of intimate jazz concerts at the L.E. Shore library in Thornbury. Now the same impresarios bring you JAZZ AT THE MARSH. Their first presentation is Jazz Made in Canada, a program of Canadian jazz performed by the Noodle Factory Jazz Project on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 7:30 PM at the Marsh StreetCentre in Clarksburg.</p><p>This promises to be a tour de force of Canadian jazz. Their style is modern, yet smooth and there is much joy in their music.</p><p>Lead by Ian Burbidge, the Noodle Factory Jazz Project draws from the incredible talent pool of musicians in the Grey Bruce area. Among its ten members are renowned trumpeter Wayne McGrath, bassist Mike Grace and Jason Hunter on Tenor, a sax player Bill Henry of the Sun Times considers world class. Most members are working or retired music educators, some of whom have had a long history with the Lighthouse Big Band.</p><p>The Jazz Made in Canada program will feature jazz standards drawn from Canadian jazz greats like Moe Kaufman, Rob McConnell and Oscar Peterson. But, it will also include new original pieces written by Noodle Factory members. In fact, it was the desire to write for a “little big band” that brought this band together. Today, Noodle Factory is a tight ensemble with a well-developed “book” of great tunes.</p><p>Tickets are just $25 (students $5) and are available at PharmaSave and Studio 16 in Thornbury, Marsh Street Centre in Clarksburg, Stuff to Read in Meaford and Blue Mountain Music in Collingwood.</p><p>JAZZ AT THE MARSH is produced by Thornbury Jazz Works, a non-profit group dedicated to bringing great jazz music and great jazz musicians to the Thornbury area and supporting music education in the community</p><p>Wordcount 303 </p>
