Word limit</p><p>The word limit for this assessment is 500 words. References consisting of URLs can be given at the end of the entry and are not included in the word count. </p><p>Note that these limits are upper maximums. Word limits ensure equality across students. If you exceed the upper limit, you obtain an unfair advantage over others. Furthermore, saying what you need to while staying under the word limit demonstrates your ability to write concisely. For these reasons, a penalty will be applied for word limit violations. The penalty applied will be proportional to the amount of words over, such that 5% (of the total possible mark) will be deducted for every additional 10% over the word limit.
